Dog-friendly Joshua Tree Airbnbs with a pool

The short answer: both of our homes welcome dogs. Infinite Horizon (sleeps 4) is pet-friendly outright. Boulder Horizons (sleeps 8) allows one dog with a $150 pet fee, added before check-in. Each sits on five private acres with a heated pool and hot tub, 20 minutes from Joshua Tree National Park, and both are Airbnb Guest Favorites.

What a dog gets here

  • Five acres of boulders and Joshua trees to sniff, straight out the door.
  • Dirt roads with almost no traffic for morning and evening walks.
  • Air conditioning and shade for the hot middle of the day.
  • Two homes six minutes apart, so a group with more than one dog can split up.

The desert rules for dog owners

  • No pets in the water. Pool, hot tub, swim spa, and cold plunge are all off limits to dogs. Hair ruins filters, and the replacement is charged.
  • Nothing is fenced. Coyotes are common at dusk, rattlesnakes come out in warm months, and cholla cactus will find a paw. Leash or supervise outside.
  • Furniture is for people.Bring your dog's bed; stains on couches, rugs, or bedding are charged.
  • Pick up after them on the property. The land around the homes is wild and we keep it that way.
  • The National Park is not a dog hike. Dogs may be on paved roads and in campgrounds and picnic areas, within 100 feet of a road, not on trails. Do your park hike early and leave your dog in the cool house, then walk the acreage together at sunset.

Which home for you and your dog

One dog and a couple or small family: Infinite Horizon, no pet fee, king suites, and the swim-spa deck. One dog and a bigger group: Boulder Horizons, with the pizza oven and the gym. Two dogs: book both homes. Check dates on Infinite Horizon and Boulder Horizons, or email the host to book direct.

Quick answers

Which Joshua Tree Airbnbs with a pool allow dogs?

Both Desert Horizons homes in Yucca Valley. Infinite Horizon (sleeps 4, 4.89★) is pet-friendly. Boulder Horizons (sleeps 8, 4.9★) allows one dog with a $150 pet fee, added to the booking before check-in. Each has a private heated pool and hot tub on five acres.

Can dogs go in the pool or hot tub?

No. Pets are not allowed in the pools, spas, or cold plunge at either home; pet hair clogs the filters and the replacement cost is charged to the guest.

Are the properties fenced?

No. Both homes sit on open five-acre desert parcels bordering undeveloped land. Keep dogs leashed or supervised outside: coyotes, snakes, and cholla cactus are part of the landscape.

Can I bring my dog into Joshua Tree National Park?

Dogs are allowed in the park only on paved roads, in campgrounds, and within 100 feet of roads and picnic areas, not on trails. Plan dog walks on the five acres at the house and on Yucca Valley's dirt roads, and do the park hikes while your dog rests in the air conditioning.
